I was thinking........
I start teaching 8th grade tomorrow. I was in 8th grade 20 something years ago. I am actually clueless and scared for the first time in my teaching
career........
I mean, I can teach ELA (Reading and Writing) without a problem, but Math? I am dead. Freaking Quadratic Expressions and Linear Relationships, those
topics are ancient history...................

Dude, I've been teaching high school English for the last five years and it's so cool. Go in with the attitude that you will all have fun and it can
be really nice. My days pretty much fly by. Of course, I teach junior English, so the maturity level is a little different. I use sarcasm quite a bit
in my room, as it's the only thing some kids will react positively toward.
