Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I liked their line up and the first contest for the whole thorp catalog was too good to refuse.

Right about the same time I was looking up stuff on Awkward Thought and North Side Kings. The sites for both bands had links here and (obviously) records out on Thorp. When I first came by the boards had just been up for a little while, if I'm not mistaken, and I just jumped on in. The feel of the boards here has always been very cool and has somehow managed to stay that way, aside from a couple times where some annoying fuckers jumped on board and made this place their personal playground. Fortunately, Duane's around to keep shit in line, so that stuff doesn't go on for long.

Reading up on Punishment & shit when I was trying to get the tour together, maybe even before that I'm not sure. Probably scoping out news for Youthzine or Scene it All. Either way I saw the contest on best poster wins a prize for the month and started posting then a month later got me a free Knuckledust cd.
Is that shit still going on or what? I need more music :P

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

new blood for blood cd

just take a look at the papers
your leaders
they\'re killers
they\'re liars
what they do in your
name to make the bodies pile higher
the murders, the terror
they\'ve done it forever
as we sit band and smile
at the script they sell us
but now the victims, they\'re rising
their numbers\'s multiplying
they want their revenge for the years
that they\'ve been dying
