yup that was awesome. ecw was flat out great, worth it for the dreamer/raven feud alone. anyone remember the chair shot heard round the world?

Raven/Dreamer was a classic feud. Raven is still one of my favorite wrestlers ever.

This post of course is referring to the REAL ECW, not that glorified WCW Saturday Night type bullshit that's on Tuesday nights now.

I never watch wrestling, but I'll say one thing that has me impressed with the current ECW and what I see of it when I'm watching Eureka.... one of
the top guys is straight edge. I find that immensely cool. Especially when I see action figures of the guy all x'd up and "straight edge" on his belly
when I'm geeking out looking for Star Wars figs.

CM Punk. Guy is insanely good. Made his name on the indies with great interviews and matches. He's being wasted in WWECW right now.

That series of 3 against Samoa Joe was incredible, particularly the two 1-hour matches.
One of my favorite Punk moments was when he signed his WWE contract on the ROH title belt just to piss off the ROH fans. Classic moment.

Haven't seen those, but the two with Joe in ROH were off the charts good.

Definitely grab either volume of The Best of CM Punk in ROH. The stuff he's doing now on tv is pure bullshit compared to anything on these DVDs.
My personal favorite was the show in NJ where Raven & Punk fought a dog collar match... Tommy Dreamer made a surprise appearance to help Raven and
they ended up dousing Punk with beer (Punk was HATED at the time). The place went apeshit.

I was marking out huge during that whole match. An ROH classic.

Yeah, I think that dude's cool. It's rad that straight edge gets exposure like that and the dude sells shirts that say straight edge. I'm sure tons of
non-edge people buy his shit though.
