speaking of heights, check this out...
Preikestolen, near Stavanger, Norway.
It's this giant cliff that drops 2000 feet straight down to the fjord below. Just to clarify, that's just under a half mile. Straight down. No
fence, no railing, no security.
Anyone been there? Would you go up?
Check out some of these photos:

that's awesome. i love stuff like that. when i went to ireland, we checked out the Carrick-a-Reed bridge and the Giant's Causeway. Fucking top notch
scenery there.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

YOU ARE FUCKING INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With those clothes you could have lost your balance or something. WOW! I still can't get over those pics. All of them. All have to say is over time
that cliff was once a mountain. It broke off and fell apart. The rest could go at any moment.

Siczine, it was definitely windy up there, but nowhere near what I expected it to be. not like it was hard to stand or anything.
Why do you say that, Dave? All the hair back then, or the 50 pounds I've put on since?! HAHA!!
Clevo, I didn't just roll out the edge and plop down on my ass. I crawled out. SLOWLY! Plus, what you can't see is that with my right hand I've got
a firm grip on this little rock ledge that definitely aided in my confidence.
Steve, apparently people base jump from up there all the time. The brother of the guy I stayed with in Stavanger had done it a few times. From what
he said, when you roll in to the parking lot (before the two hour hike out to the cliff) and start unloading all your gear, the park ranger that mans
the area calls the police, but doesn't bother to try and stop you. The coppers just wait in boats for when you land and try to catch you then. He
said depending on how many people are jumping, they have their own boats waiting to pick them up so that the cops have to spread out and can't persue
everyone.
And yes, the view is absolutely amazing. I mean, literally breath taking. I distinctly remember thinking to myself something along the lines of,
"this might be the strongest argument for the existence of a higher power that i've ever experienced."
The crazy thing was, looking down from that height, my brain couldn't precess things quite right - the tree tops below looked like a field of grass
and it was hard to tell the difference between the birds flying and the boats sailing.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Geez look at all the old users in here.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I don't remember many details about my time in Stavanger, despite being there for a month. I was just hanging with friends, skating and going to bars
(even though I didn't drink, and all of which I'm sure are gone by now). Definitely add Sverd i fjell and Old Stavanger to your list, though. Can't
wait for a full report!
