Punch Out! (Check these guys out)

Started in 1987, Punch out modeled their entire Band after the video game of the same name. After a brief meeting at Nintendo headquarters, the boys soon were rejected due to the midi file sound of the late 80s. Mike Tyson is quoted as saying in an interview with Nintendo Power magazine in 1989, “what the fuck? There’s a band called Punch Out?” This single act angered Durell “super punch” Smith so much that he went to Tyson’s house. Witnesses state that upon arrival a shouting match ensued and fisticuffs were thrown. Durell “super punch” Smith was pronounced dead at the scene and later was discovered not to be dead. For 18 years he was in a coma, KeVON KAISER denied that Durell was ever in a coma. KeVON even wrote a tell all book in 1992 about the incident, sources say however that KeVON signed an exclusive deal with Sega Genesis to promote his short lived band Toe Jam and Earl’s Traveling band. BranDON FLEMENCO quit the band shortly after Nintendo threatened to burn down his house; he later told the band that he made it up. When questioned as to why, he responded “Donkey Kong wanted to wrestle”. Puzzled by this statement, the band stopped having an open bar at shows on their 2000 reunion tour featuring Prince on Guitar. Josh BOXley entered rehab in 1990, were he remained in 90s state of mind. He never recovered from his vitamin C overdose in 1989 after his girl Peach left him for as he called it “greasy mustached plumber!” At Punch Out’s final show in 1997, he had to be rushed to the hospital after KeVON KAISER defeated Iron Mike because his heart stopped from the excitement. In 2007, Durell awoke from his coma and called KeVON, who at the time was working as a rep. for Corey Hiam. He quit his $24 dollar a week band and called Boxley. Boxley was working Punch city’s blue light district selling maps to Gary Busey’s house, he kept his job but agreed to reform the band. FLEMENCO was making a protein shake and joined again because he was hyper due to the ingestion of red bull. Now that the band is back together essentially is for the first and final time supporting their non-violence stand in the punk rock scene … with their relenting message NO MORE VIOLENCE, PLAY MORE VIDEO GAMES!
