Yesterday at 4pm all of our lines lit up and we all left for the day thinking it was a simple problem that would correct itself...BIG FUCKING
MISTAKE!!!
A hacker forced their way into our system and had all 5 lines of our office calling a 1900 number in Taiwan.
Could be a bill upwards of $60,000. No fucking joke. We are a non profit and can't afford 1/100th of this.
Cops involved, i'll post more when I know. ShawnRefuse - 6-5-2009 at 10:41 AM
This happened to us at my old office. and it was overnight so no one was around. I don't know what the final outcome was, but I think my boss was able
to shift the blame to the line provider. (they installed the system and there was a hole for hackers to get in, and they were supposed to monitor and
didn't cut it when there were TONS of calls being made)BDx13 - 6-5-2009 at 10:42 AM

Only if he hangs himself with the chord while wacking it....um too soon? Sorry David.
But, it depends on the system and who/how it was installed. We got the FBI involved because ours was to Saudia Arabia and was in Jan 2002.barc0debaby - 6-5-2009 at 11:05 AM

a person was just arrested near Philadelphia for trying to arrange sex with a 13 year old via the internet. He was talking to a cop. The strange thing
was that he had hacked into somebody elses wireless connetion and was using their...uh ...frequency or whatever you call it.
