I have a couple cd's that I wanted to rip to my computer for windows media player and they will not rip. When I load them the media player doesn't
even notice it or read it. Anyone know why this is? Its not just 1 cd I have a couple that do that.
I just picked up a used copy of EXODUS fabulous disaster on cd yesterday and it wont read on the computer. It plays through on 2 stereos and has no
scratches. Its in great shape.

Are the CD's readable by Winamp or any other players? If you go to Explorer does it detect a disc in the CD-ROM drive?
Right click Start and go to Explore then check your CD drive to see if there is a disc present, should be in .cda format off the CD.
You might be able to try a different ripping program if Media Player doesn't pick it up, had the same problem with some CD's here a while back.
