everyone goes thru phases, for music, movies, books etc.

i still jam on some stuff i listened to when i was in jr. high/high school ever once in awhile, and i'd say 80% of it i still think is great, then there is that other 20% where you think back and go, what the fuck, is this shit....

Discipline- I'm loving the Giger work, the scary babies are some of my favorites.

I dig that too.

i was just lucky enough to have some friends who were into some cool stuff and a big variety of it who turned me onto it, if not force fed it to me at times.
otherwise i fear i would still be rockin out to Slayer all the time.
variety is the spice of life.
as is garlic salt.

ENYA is good stuff. Same with what I heard of Dido.

My beer tastes have changed with age as well. I am not the same person I was 2 years ago.

I've been hitting up the search function tonight for no good reason. I thought bumping this would be relevant with the new year and resolutions and whatnot.

My tastes have totally changed. I still love a lot of things I used to love, but I'm much more selective these days. For newer things, I am a much bigger fan of scotch and whiskey along with acoustic music. I've been rocking out to a lot of Chuck Ragan, Bryan Mcpherson, and Mark Lind's solo stuff recently (and, let's be honest, off and on for a long time). If you like Mcpherson, he recently posted an old live performance on Bandcamp... I've been playing it a lot in the office. Highly recommended!

I also tend to read things these days that I never would have considered when I was younger, even 2-3 years ago. More fiction, for starters.

Please read and, if you can, help out a friend: http://www.gofundme.com/jacobmedical.

I forgot about this thread. I went to post in this as if it were new. Weird. I'm listening to GREEN RIVER right now and took cough medicine to go to bed early on New Year's Eve. That is so different than 10 or 15 years ago for me.
